News Release:

December 27, 2004
Dubai UAE

Datamatix has announced the Global Government and Business Leaders event followed by leadership executive programs starting from the 24th September 2005 in Dubai UAE which will welcome 3000 leaders from around the world.

While announcing the event, Ali Al Kamali, Datamatix Managing Director and organizer of the event, said that Datamatix presents this event in association with world wide organizations, Leadership schools and global leadership research centers, top world universities and School of Governments. It will address key barriers to successful leadership practices for leaders that can improve global and regional economic future, competitiveness and productivity. Focusing on successful leadership practices, global experts on leadership will provide a greater picture on leadership practices rather than dictate it. Delegates can expect successful leadership case studies packed with strong action and strategies for stopping corruption but not stopping the creation of the new world leaders.

Mr. Kamali confirmed that Hon. Howard Dean, A candidate for Democratic Nomination for 2004 US Presidency and the former Governor of US State of Vermont will join as a keynote speaker and share his leadership experiences and his experiences in dealing with Media as a leader. Datamatix has created a special team that draws its 16 years of experience in organizing global events to ensure that Global Government & Business Leaders event is one of the top world events in 2005.

Mr. Kamali also said that the organizing committee will be inviting more than 180 Nations to participate in this event via their government and business executive leaders. Delegates are expected from Developed and Developing Nations, with special focus to help the developing nations to learn from the global successful practices.

He added "Traditionally executives have not been used to practice leadership as part of their job, and doing so represents a big change. The key lies in the way we develop young government and business executives. We all know of brilliant youngsters in our organizations, who are inventive away from work but merely go through the motions at work. We all know that, from time to time, our organizations have said 'if only we had the right people', when what we really mean is 'if only our people had and used the right initiative and Leadership skills'.”

Speaking about the Leadership Work Shop Programs, Mr. Kamali said, "If you look at these leadership workshop programs and you will notice that it matches the requirements of our own government and business leaders. At these workshops, they will understand and learn to effectively lead teams, about leadership styles, about the psychology of leadership, about leadership evaluation and management. The program will also include 2-day workshops with focus on different aspects of leadership to be held after the main event. Separate registrations are required to participate in the workshop programs.

Governor Howard Dean, A candidate for Democratic Nomination for US President Elections 2004 and the Former Governor for the US state of Vermont will speak on Government Leadership. He will share his experiences on leadership challenges he faced while running for the democratic nomination and also as the governor of Vermont. He will lead ten other Global speakers from 15 countries and speakers from different regional and leadership scenarios.

The Global Government and Business Leaders will discuss Leadership achievements of Dubai – UAE Governments. This will be taken up as a special case study on the importance of Government – Business partnership for Leadership and Leader’s success. Role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in building government and business leadership and how the use of ICT can effectively prevent corruption are other important leadership issues to be taken up at the event.

This will help participants to compare and learn from diverse leadership success and failure stories from countries like USA, Japan, China, Australia, UK, UAE, Malaysia, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Scandinavian Countries and others… Global Government and Business Leaders target government and industry leaders from the world. The event will provide top government executives with beneficial opportunities to share practical leadership ideas that can be applied in day to day management of government business and operations. The various sessions at the event will focus on major leadership issues faced by regional and global government and business leaders and professionals. The event will be organized around themes like Future challenges for Leadership, Learning from the global leadership experiences, Business and Government Leadership, Inspiring and grooming a competent second level of Leaders.

Also Kamali said that the program will expose participants to ten different leadership styles based on case studies and experiences from different parts of the world. Renowned leadership experts, moderators and analysts with hands on experience will share and lead panels and discussion forums. The sessions are designed to be dynamic and interactive, with plenty of time for exchange of views with your global peers on key leadership issues.
